The History Cat
A certified teacher created this open-access online textbook. Customized lesson plans can be purchased.

Students Friend
Free lesson plans and reading suggestions are offered along with this open-access textbook on World history and geography; created by a certified teacher. 

World History for Us All
Another open-access textbook, this one uses an integrative approach by UCLA for World History and is secular in content; contains free downloadable Teaching Units.

American History

American Heritage Education Foundation
Award winning curriculum provides free K-College level textbooks and lesson plans.

Ben's Guide to the U.S. Government
Government Publishing Office’s informational publication educates students, teachers and parents with products from the Federal Depository Library. Educational games are included.

Have Fun with History
Free videos and activities are made available for American history education.

Hillsdale College Free Online Courses
Several free courses are offered in multiple topics related to history for college credit.
